Supporting women in aviation

We are committed to supporting women in succeeding in aviation.

The Xenia Morales Women in Aviation Scholarship is awarded annually to a woman working toward a career in aviation as an aircraft maintenance engineer or agriculture pilot. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to individuals who are passionate about aviation and committed to protecting our natural resources.

Pilot applicant

Funding may be applied toward the cost of completing a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or agricultural pilot training.

Preference will be given to applicants who:

Are enrolled in agricultural pilot training, or

Demonstrate a clear career path towards working in a CARs 702 environment

The scholarship will be paid directly to the training institution on behalf of the successful applicant.

Funding may be applied toward training costs at a Transport Canada Approved Training Organization (ATO).

The scholarship will be paid directly to the training institution on behalf of the successful applicant.

In addition, applicants must:

Include a resume with their application

Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

Be in their final year of schooling

Provide proof of good academic standing or enrollment upon selection

Preference will be given to residents within Atlantic Canada

Please submit a 500–1000-word essay that includes:

A personal statement outlining how this opportunity will support your career goals and aspirations

Pilot applicants only: Describe your interest in 702 operations

A description of financial need or barriers you have faced or overcome

Your involvement in the aviation community

Notable personal achievements and accomplishments
