AIR TRACTOR

AT-802 Fire Boss

Built for speed, flexibility and sustained wildfire response, the AT-802 Fire Boss strengthens FPL’s aerial firefighting fleet with rapid scooping, targeted water delivery and continuous attack capability near available water sources.

Rapid, continuous drops for direct initial attack.

  • Sustained attack for more than 3 hours

  • Scoop and reload in under one minute

  • 3,104 litres (820-gallon) capacity

  • Gen III fire gate system

  • Cruising speed of 150 knots (278 kmph)

  • Low drop speed of 105 knots (195 kmph)

  • Typically operates in a team of four with a bird dog

One AT-802 Fire Boss can deliver up to 20 loads or 52,995 litres (14,000 gallons) of water on a fire per hour when water source is within 1.6 km (1 mile).

Integrated fleet support buys ground crews critical time.

Four Fire Boss aircraft match the per-load volume of two CL-415s, with the flexibility to reload from smaller nearby water sources and reducing travel time and keeping aircraft on the fire.
